Welcome to the Cynthia Curtis Pottery Studio

The best way to understand who we are and what we do is to visit us!

In addition to making her own pottery, Cynthia also offers pottery classes and is grateful for the over 1,400 students of all ages and abilities that have found their way to share the warm and bright pottery studio. The studio overlooks the woods, and features plenty of natural light from three sides of wall to wall windows as well as skylights.

There are eight electric wheels, and a spacious heavy duty worktable for hand-building and wedging. There is also a large selection of tools, forms, and textures for hand-building and a Soldner clay mixer for recycling. The studio has two high-fire electric kilns and maintains a reliable firing schedule, ensuring that all pieces are ready in a timely manner. There are two types of high-fire stoneware clay used in the studio, brown and off white. Over 30 different glazes are available and all are non-toxic, lead-free, and oven, dishwasher, microwave safe. All glazes are developed and mixed at the studio. The studio is kept clean and well-organized.
